Free and Pro

What the free plan covers, what Pro adds, and what happens if you downgrade.

Somix Related Products has a free plan and a paid one. Billing is handled entirely by Shopify: charges appear on your normal Shopify invoice, we never see a card, and you can change or cancel from your admin without contacting us.

What Free covers

One live widget, and it is a real one: Recommended products, Add-ons or Recently viewed, on a product page, collection page, home page or search results, with every source except the two you curate yourself, the exclusions, your theme’s colours, and the full analytics. The free plan is meant to be lived on, not to be a trial that stops working.

What Pro adds

  • As many widgets as you want
  • The Buy together layout
  • Discounts on what a widget sells, on any layout
  • Widgets on the cart, including an offer inside each cart line
  • Choosing products yourself, and rules that keep picks current
  • Full control over every colour
  • Hiding prices from shoppers who are not signed in
  • Hiding the small Somix credit under the widget
  • Priority support

Changing plan

Open Plan in the app and press the button through to Shopify’s own plan page. Somix does not run its own checkout, which is why there is no pricing table inside the app to get out of date.

If you downgrade

Nothing is deleted. A widget that uses a Pro feature is paused and kept, with its switch locked and the feature named. If you have more widgets than Free allows, the first in your table stays live and the rest are paused, and you can choose which one to keep. The colours you chose while paying stay stored rather than reverting. Upgrade again and everything is where you left it.

Pro features stop at once rather than on your next save: a widget discount stops being quoted on the widget and stops being applied in the cart, prices come back for signed-out visitors, and the small Somix credit returns under the widget. Each of those settings is kept exactly as you left it.
